About the role

SUMMARY:

The Developer II provides application software development services and related technical support to ensure the availability of applications and systems used for critical business operations. Draws on previous experience to solve a range of straight forward problems and analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures.

What you’ll be doing

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Modelling and developing out robotic processes during the project development stage • Consults and provides recommendations on projects and business requirements; works in association with Service Architecture and project management teams.

• Develops new processes or analyzes and modifies existing applications.

• Analyzes requirements and maintains, tests and integrates application components; ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented. • Updating and maintaining Developer Standards around RPA best practices

• Mentoring and guiding peers via code reviews, dev sessions and pair-programming

• Investigating and documenting better practices/alternative solutions that could be used in future development.

• Analyzes existing processes and determines how best to implement defect fixes and enhancements.

• Manages the maintenance and development of existing processes to support the ongoing needs of the business.

• Establishes and maintains an understanding of existing application, development practices and solutions currently managed by the development team.

• Provides third-level technical support as required.

• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

About you

EDUCATION & JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or a related field with a minimum of 2-3 years of related software/application experience; or equivalent combination of post high school education and experience.

Skilled in Java, .Net, or Javascript, Experience with databases such as SQL and Oracle, Web Programming Skills, Teamwork, Verbal Communication, cross-browser compatibility, Web User Interface Design (UI), Web Services (REST/SOAP), Multimedia Content Development, and APIs.

Previous related experience in the staffing solutions industry, experience working in a global organization is preferred.

Experience providing IT solutions support for business operations such as payroll, finance, etc.

COMPETENCIES:

• Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply best practices in software development methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum.

• Knowledge of and the ability understand and apply best standards and practices in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Experience architecting and developing workflow-based solutions or functionality

• Experience with web development technologies preferential

• Experience with RPA Software (e.g. BluePrism, UI Path, WorkFusion) UI Path preferrable

• Willingness to learn and become an expert in RPA and other automation technologies

• Experience leading a team

• Must be able to multitask and willing to work on multiple projects at a given time

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Comfortable interacting with business stakeholders and external clients

• Ability to work to deadlines and manage expectations

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
