About the Job | The APAC Finance Operations Leader will oversee In-Country Finance Operations teams. This includes Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Collections, General Ledger, submissions to Group Accounting, Internal & External Audits, Treasury, and Controls for all countries in APAC. This role is responsible for driving harmonized processes, strong governance, and optimal use of technology across all finance operations. The APAC Finance Operations Leader will partner closely with the GBS Delivery Center in Bangalore to ensure best-in-class, timely, and accurate financial reporting, while maintaining robust internal controls and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, operational excellence, and a commitment to continuous improvement in finance processes. |
Roles and responsibilities | Strategic Leadership & Framework Design ·Partner with GBS Finance Services & Delivery organization, Finance Operations Leads, Heads of Finance, and APAC Finance Head to design and implement the Financial Operations framework aligned with the global Shared Services strategy. ·Contribute to the development and execution of the regional finance strategy in collaboration with Heads of Finance and business leaders. Stakeholder Management & Governance ·Serve as the primary point of contact and escalation for all Finance Operations service matters across the APAC region. ·Engage with Heads of Finance, GBUs, Group Finance, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery. ·Lead governance forums with GBS APAC delivery teams and monitor Finance Operations KPIs to drive performance and compliance. ·Act as the escalation point for Finance Operations issues in APAC cluster Operational Excellence & Standardization ·Promote standardized processes, roles, and deployment of core technologies to harmonize operations, leverage synergies, and deliver efficiencies across APAC. ·Oversee month-end close activities and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting for the region. ·Drive Finance Transformation initiatives (e.g., Project Advance) across APAC. Compliance & Internal Controls ·Ensure timely closure of Group, Statutory, and Internal audits with a target of “Green” ratings for Finance Operations processes and controls. ·Maintain a robust internal control environment, including updated Risk Control Matrices (RCMs). ·Ensure accurate and timely submission of Group Tax reporting requirements (ETR, Tax Packs, Tax Reconciliations). Team Leadership & Development ·Build and lead a high-performing Finance Operations team across APAC. ·Mentor and develop team members through a collaborative and supportive leadership approach. Financial Planning & Analysis Support ·Partner with FP&A and Operations teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making. ·Own and manage the Finance Operations budget (Headcount & costs) for APAC. ·Oversee monthly Gross Profit and Balance Sheet governance for APAC countries. ·Ensure accurate and timely submission of Cash Flow and Working Capital forecasts for APAC Transformation and Initiatives ·Support merger activities and new entity creation for APAC ·Drive transition to Target Operating Model (TOM) and ERP Implementation for APAC |

Pre-Requisites | ·Strong competency in Finance & Accounting principles, processes, and systems. ·Proven track record of leading large, diverse Finance Operations teams across multiple geographies within a complex matrix organization. ·Ability to build, mentor, and sustain high-performing teams. ·Demonstrated experience in driving finance transformation initiatives, including financial system implementations and upgrades. ·Strong results orientation with the ability to deliver measurable improvements. ·Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and implement actionable strategies to drive operational excellence. ·Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at local, regional, and global levels. ·Strong controls mindset with a focus on compliance, risk management, and internal control frameworks. ·Effective interpersonal skills to be successful in a multi-country, multi-cultural environment. ·Familiarity with RPA, AI-driven finance tools, and digital transformation trends |
