Head of Cloud SecOps, FinOps, PlatformOps

The Adecco Group, the world's second largest Human Resources provider and temporary staffing firm, and a Fortune Global 500 company, is looking for a Head of Cloud Platform & Governance to join a rapidly expanding Cloud Infrastructure and Engineering area that is multi-cultural and globally dispersed.
The Head of Cloud SecOps, FinOps, and PlatformOps is accountable for the operational security, financial governance, and reliability of cloud platforms across the organization. This role leads three specialized teams—Cloud Security Operations, Cloud FinOps, and Cloud Platform Operations—and ensures secure, cost-efficient, and highly available cloud services that support modern digital products and critical business outcomes.
Assists Head of Cloud Infrastructure and Engineering to define and carry out strategic, tactical, and operational goals for successful implementation of practices to create resilient and secure cloud environment in Adecco Group.
What you’ll be doingCloud Security Operations (SecOps)
- Lead Cloud Security Operations with ownership of Patch Management, Vulnerability Management, and Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM).
- Define, implement, and continuously improve security operational processes focused on risk-based remediation, including rapid response to zero-day vulnerabilities.
- Oversee security tooling and platforms including Qualys, Tanium, Wiz, Azure Security Policies, and ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) module.
- Coordinate remediation efforts across engineering teams, platform teams, and external service providers.
- Ensure clear ownership, prioritization, and tracking of vulnerabilities from detection to remediation.
- Provide regular security posture, risk, and remediation reporting to the CISO and CTO.
- Ensure alignment with internal security standards, cloud governance policies, and regulatory requirements.
Cloud FinOps
- Lead a team of FinOps engineers responsible for cloud cost transparency, optimization, and financial governance.
- Use Microsoft Azure cost tools, Power BI reporting, and Adaptive6 to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
- Partner closely with Product Owners and Engineering teams to communicate cost insights and drive implementation of savings initiatives.
- Own governance of Microsoft Azure spend, including chargeback/showback models where applicable.
- Lead annual Azure budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing cost tracking.
- Identify and investigate cost anomalies, ensuring timely corrective actions.
- Own the Microsoft Marketplace purchase process, working closely with Procurement to ensure compliance and commercial efficiency.
Cloud Platform Operations (PlatformOps)
- Own operational excellence for modern cloud platforms, initially including Web Platforms, with scope expanding to additional platforms over time.
- Ensure platforms meet defined KPIs, SLAs, availability, uptime, and reliability targets.
- Own and govern Disaster Recovery and resilience strategies for supported platforms.
- Drive continuous improvement in operational maturity, automation, and observability.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to ensure platforms are operationally ready, scalable, and support business growth.
- 5+ years of experience designing, building, and operating secure, high-performance cloud platforms.
- Proven leadership of cloud engineering teams in complex enterprise environments.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, especially developing Landing Zones, following governance and security principles, and platform automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM), CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Solid architectural background across infrastructure and applications with an automation-first mindset.
- Proficient in managing high-availability, multi-region services with robust monitoring and observability.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud security, identity, and API management.
- Familiarity with DR, high availability patterns, and FinOps principles.
- Experience with modern technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, PostgreSQL, Redis, data streaming (e.g., Kafka), Sitecore, OpenAI, Rest, GraphQL
- Working knowledge of Azure services such as Container Apps, App Service, Azure WAF, Traffic Manager, Azure Kubernetes Services, Centralized Logging, and API Management.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and platform product ownership.
- At least a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Science, Technology or Math from an accredited university or equivalent work experience.
- Occasional traveling up to 20%.
