The Target Fulfillment Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of Target Fulfillment Coordinators. They will ensure target achievement and success for ADF Careers through the management and operational coordination of Officer Entry and General Entry targets, liaising with the Services and National Recruiting Operations team, as well as other key ADF and ADF Careers stakeholders.​

What you’ll be doing

This leadership role sits at the centre of ADF Careers’ national recruitment delivery, overseeing a team responsible for meeting critical enlistment targets across Officer and General Entry pathways. You’ll combine strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership, working closely with Defence stakeholders to align workforce supply with evolving capability needs. It’s a fast-paced, high-impact position suited to someone who thrives on accountability, collaboration, and delivering results at scale.

You will:

  • Work with the Target Fulfillment Lead to lead and drive operational success for ADF Careers through the exceptional performance of the Workforce Delivery team, focussed on the current recruitment needs of the services and ADF.
  • Work with the Target Fulfillment Lead and National Recruiting Manager and senior stakeholders to forecast, plan and develop Workforce Delivery strategies.
  • Contribute to ADF Careers national recruitment strategy through the delivery of market leading, strategic recruitment solutions, constantly focussed on meeting the recruiting needs of the services, now and into the future.
  • Manage the coordination of nationally issuing targets, collaborating with the services and distributing nationally, to streamline where possible, create more opportunities for candidates, maximise success for the ADF, and ensure centres are supported with their candidate needs being met.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Target Fulfillment team to ensure delivery excellence and exceptional performance.
  • Ensure delivery supports 100% achievement within 100 days.
  • Review and analyse operational performance on a quarterly basis, providing comprehensive reporting and insights to Target Fulfillment Lead, as required, and requested.
  • Work collaboratively with the Target Fulfillment Lead and other Target Fulfillment Team Leaders to build a culture of ownership, accountability, and honesty.
  • Seek and build strong relationships with the services and ADF, as appropriate, to ensure constant alignment to service’s needs, in line with ADF Careers service delivery model.
  • Create a culture of honesty, openness, and collaboration. Champion a solution mindset to support ownership and engagement across all team members.
  • Successfully partner and work with Defence stakeholders and subcontractors to ensure a integrated approach to target achievement.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain a high service level client relationship through the provision of services that meet or exceed the expectations of Defence and the ADF Careers Adecco contract, further encouraging a strong and ongoing relationship between Adecco and the Commonwealth of Australia.

  • Proven knowledge of the recruitment process, including strategic recruitment solutions, recruiting needs, and best practice approaches in line with current industry benchmark.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team of professionals in the successful delivery of national projects according to schedule and quality objectives.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with team members and internal and external stakeholders with a focus on collective success and a solutions mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to manage competing priorities and maintain quality service delivery when working under pressure.
  • A collaborative approach to building professional relationships and working within a team to contribute to the team vision.
  • Resilient and adaptable mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
