The Adecco Group is the world’s leading provider of workforce solutions, transforming the world of work through talent and technology. Our Group Public Affairs team is looking for a dynamic team player with a curious mind to join us for a twelve-month internship starting in July 2025.
The internship will be based out of The Netherlands. Members of the Group Public Affairs Team are spread across Rotterdam, Breda, as well as Germany, Switzerland, Paris, UK. The Team manages both the Public Affairs and Sustainability efforts of the Business. On a day-to-day the successful candidate will work closely with Head of Policy Advocacy and the Policy Data analyst, both based in The Netherlands. The Internship is a 0.5 FTE assignment, of which one day in the Rotterdam offices; the remaining hours can be filled in flexibly and may involve (some) international travel.
Your tasks- Monitoring, structuring, and analysing relevant labour market policy developments across the world
- Developing and organizing policy events for relevant stakeholders
- Creative presentation and visualisation of bitesize key policy updates for Business Leadership
- Create & Present Labour Policy Research and Analysis for Adecco Group Stakeholders, Colleagues & Leadership
- Any other relevant activities within the Group Public Affairs team
- You have a completed or will complete a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree, such as International (Labour) Law, Comparative Law, International Relations, or Political Science. Optionally, we are open to discuss how the internship experience can feed into a master’s thesis.
- No work experience is required but proven affinity with public affairs, labour law, public policy, politics, and/or project management are considered a plus.
- Business fluent in English, further languages are beneficial.
Technical and social skills:
· Collaborative and familiar working as part of a team
· Able to work independently when needed
· Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to different stakeholders
· Eagerness to bitesize complex policy and legal information for a general audience
· Tech Savviness to engage and learn to work with Cutting Edge Legal and Public Affairs AI and other technologies
· Eagerness to build regulatory intelligence as a source of business data.
· Any experience with MS Excel, MS Power Query and/or other data science tools is highly valued
· Ability to communicate in a concise and structured manner while having a certain level of confidence to face senior stakeholders when necessary
· Organised person looking for efficiency in operations
· Pro-active, positive, and can-do attitude
