Director, Customer Engagement & Proposal Strategy - Adecco - US
The Director, Customer Engagement & Proposal Strategy is a strategic leader responsible for advancing the organization's go-to-market strategy, client engagement, and growth initiatives. Working at the intersection of sales, marketing, operations, and customer intelligence, this role leverages data-driven insights, compelling storytelling, and deep business acumen to strengthen customer relationships, enhance proposal effectiveness, and drive profitable growth.
Leading a high-performing team, the Director oversees RFx strategy, client presentations, business reviews, market intelligence, thought leadership, and sales enablement initiatives. This role serves as a key advisor to senior leaders, translating customer and market insights into actionable strategies that improve win rates,
support client retention and expansion, and differentiate the organization in a competitive marketplace.
Through cross-functional collaboration, the Director champions a customer-centric culture, ensuring consistent messaging, operational excellence, and innovative engagement strategies that position the company as a trusted partner and industry leader.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead the development and execution of customer insights and research strategy aligned with enterprise sales, client retention, and expansion goals.
• Establishes capability frameworks to elevate proposal quality and storytelling.
• Develops messaging and value proposition for client content materials to ensure consistency and alignment to global brand and voice. Positioning the sales content to increase win rate and revenue achievement.
• Acts as content and go to market subject matter expert.
• Oversees content libraries and knowledge management systems.
• Drives continuous improvement through win/loss insights, technology and automation expansion, and market insights.
• Recommends and manages technology for improving current processes and content generation to senior leadership.
• Manage a team responsible for delivering business reviews, value-add presentations, market research, and industry insights that support national and regional sales efforts.
• Partner with operational leaders and the data and marketing teams to shape a strategic go-to-market approach grounded in customer and market intelligence.
• Oversee high-value research and review engagements from start to finish, ensuring deliverables are accurate, insightful, and completed on time.
• Provide direct consultation to senior stakeholders, translating data into strategic recommendations that drive decision-making and revenue growth.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 8-12+ years of industry experience, and 5+ years of people
leadership experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
•Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writingwith various levels of employees, management and
partners, including technical and non-technical information.
•Ability to proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships
•Ability to develop and lead colleagues within assigned vertical
•Ability to consultatively sell and demonstrate superb customer service skills
•Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment
•Ability to remain highly self-motivated and ambitious in achieving goals
•Ability to prepare and deliver successful sales presentations
•Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
•Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply employment-related laws, rules and regulations
•Knowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize Customer Relationship Management and sales related tools,
such as Salesforce.com
•Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $98930 - $181372. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, key skills, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the position is also eligible for incentive compensation based on achievements outlined in the compensation plan.
Benefit offerings for full-time employment include medical, dental, vision, term life and AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits, wellness plans, and a 401k plan or a non-qualified deferred compensation plan. Available paid leave includes Personal Time Off (PTO) on an accrual basis up to 152 hours a year, 10 Paid Holidays, 1 Community Service Day, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave. PTO and holiday hours are prorated based on hire date within the calendar year.
