ITD Strategy & Transformation Lead - APAC

Role Purpose:
The APAC ITD Strategy & Transformation Lead is a senior leadership role requiring extensive experience in executing IT transformations across the APAC region. The role exists to enable APAC IT organizations to move beyond delivery and operations, and to become strategic business partners, proactively identifying business challenges and collaborating with global and regional teams to design and deliver technology solutions that drive revenue growth, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
This role is accountable for defining and executing a coherent Global ITD strategy, establishing robust governance and delivery frameworks, and leading organizational and cultural change to ensure IT consistently delivers measurable business value.
Mission:
- Serve as a core member both at the APAC ITD Leadership Team & Global Strategy & Transformation Leadership team, accountable for all enabling processes, governance, and transformation capabilities.
- Define, articulate, and continuously evolve a clear, unified ITD Vision and Strategy aligned to business priorities across APAC.
- Design, implement, and oversee enterprise-grade processes, frameworks, and tools supporting Portfolio, Program, Vendor, Performance, and Change Management.
- Foster a culture of delivery excellence, operational rigor, efficiency, and transparent communication across APAC ITD and the wider Group.
Key Accountabilities:
- Define and maintain a single, integrated ITD Vision, Mission, and Strategy, aligned with and enabling the business strategy of the APAC region.
- Ensure disciplined execution of the ITD strategy, in line with agreed strategic principles, priorities, and outcomes.
- Establish and monitor KPIs and performance metrics to track progress against strategic objectives and drive accountability.
- Own ITD financial oversight, including Run and Change budgets, forecasting, and efficiency initiatives in close partnership with Finance.
- Enforce ITD governance, risk, security, and compliance frameworks across the APAC region.
- Ensure the availability of capabilities, resources, tools, processes, and controls required for operational excellence and high-quality delivery.
- Lead IT and people transformation, ensuring effective change adoption across APAC markets and local ITD teams.
- Promote a mindset of continuous improvement, efficiency, and effectiveness, embedding strong governance and performance management disciplines.
- Drive stakeholder engagement and communication, ensuring strong alignment with business leaders, internal clients, and strategic partners.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
Strategy & Governance
- Define the long-term ITD vision, strategic priorities, and roadmap for APAC in alignment with our Global ITD S&T organization.
- Ensure adherence to ITD strategic principles across IT teams and business stakeholders.
- Maintain strong awareness of market and technology trends, identifying opportunities for innovation, growth, and competitive advantage.
- Ensure ITD investment governance aligns initiatives with business outcomes and value realization.
Financial & Portfolio Management
- Monitor and manage APAC ITD Run and Change financial performance in collaboration with Finance.
- Drive transparency, cost optimization, and rationalization of IT spend.
- Lead initiative selection, prioritization, and portfolio management aligned to strategic objectives.
- Maintain and govern the APAC ITD portfolio and Change Roadmap across the region.
- Provide regular portfolio performance reporting and conduct quarterly executive reviews towards stakeholders.
Program, Project & Change Management
- Ensure consistent application of the program management, governance & AI use case governance frameworks, to APAC ITD initiatives.
- Enforce governance and decision-making standards across programs and projects.
- Promote best practices, learning journeys, and professional certifications.
Identify performance risks early and implement corrective actions where required.
Vendor & Performance Management
- Partner with Strategic Vendors to drive convergence, performance excellence, and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with Strategic Vendor Management frameworks.
- Review vendor performance regularly and ensure remediation plans are executed when needed.
- Consolidate delivery, financial, operational, people, security, and innovation metrics into a comprehensive performance scorecard.
Transformation & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead IT and organizational transformation initiatives across APAC markets.
- Communicate the ITD Vision and Strategy clearly and consistently across the organization.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, ensuring continuous alignment between business priorities and ITD execution.
- Enable APAC IT teams to operate as business partners, co-creating solutions that drive measurable business impact.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in IT Strategy, Governance, Performance Management, Change Management, and Business & IT Transformation.
- Demonstrated success leading complex, multi-country IT transformations across APAC.
- Strong mastery of performance management, operating models, and change leadership.
- Proven experience working as a business leader or senior advisor, with the ability to translate business strategy into executable IT outcomes.
- Experience leading and influencing senior executives and managing specialist teams.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills at executive level.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, operate under pressure, and deliver results in complex environments.
- Strong track record of working effectively with distributed, multicultural teams.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification in Engineering, Business Management, Information Technology, or a related discipline
Travel Requirement: 20-50%
