Role Summary:

The ITD Manager, Hong Kong serves as the primary technology partner and ITD lead for the Hong Kong business, providing local ownership and oversight across business partnership, applications, digital and AI transformation, project delivery, service operations, change management, and technology governance.

The role acts as the bridge between business stakeholders, and regional & global ITD teams, ensuring technology solutions are aligned with business priorities and deliver measurable business value. The role will identify opportunities to leverage digital, automation and AI capabilities to improve productivity, optimize business processes, and enable new ways of working.

The role requires a strong combination of business partnering, stakeholder management, technology leadership, transformation capability, and operational oversight within a matrix environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Partnership & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary IT Business Partner and trusted technology advisor for Hong Kong, building strong relationships with business leaders to understand business objectives, challenges, and growth opportunities, and identify how technology can enable them.
  • Translate business needs into clear technology requirements, assess business value and priorities, and identify appropriate solutions in collaboration with regional and global ITD teams.
  • Develop and maintain the Hong Kong technology roadmap and demand pipeline, aligning business priorities, technology dependencies, investment needs, and delivery capacity with regional and global ITD teams.
  • Support tendering and proposal processes by reviewing technology requirements, assessing them against existing capabilities, identifying gaps, and coordinating with relevant ITD teams to address solution requirements.
  • Maintain strong two-way alignment between the Hong Kong business and regional and global ITD teams on technology and Infrastructure & Operations priorities, requirements, and expectations.

Digital, AI & Automation

  • Identify and develop opportunities to leverage digital, automation and AI capabilities to address Hong Kong business needs, improve productivity, and enable process improvement.
  • Drive the local adoption of regional and global digital and AI solutions, working with relevant ITD teams to ensure business readiness and effective use.
  • Promote responsible use of digital and AI solutions in accordance with Group policies, security, data protection, and governance requirements.

IT Service & Operations Management

  • Oversee IT service delivery, monitoring service performance and ensuring timely resolution of incidents and problems.
  • Coordinate with regional Infrastructure & Operations teams, service providers, and technology partners to ensure operational stability, business continuity, and effective service delivery.
  • Act as the local escalation point for critical IT issues, driving resolution and minimizing business impact.
  • Oversee the local user experience for Field Support and Service Desk services, consolidate business feedback, and coordinate improvement actions with the End User Services provider.
  • Ensure Hong Kong operational and functional requirements are delivered through standard regional and global Infrastructure & Operations service offerings, promoting adoption of standard services and managing justified local exceptions through governance.
  • Coordinate communication between Hong Kong stakeholders and regional or global Service Owners and Service Managers on operational problems, service feedback, requirements, and improvement priorities.
  • Conduct SLA and service-performance reviews, coordinate agreed improvement actions, and track completion with the End User Services provider.
  • Drive continual service improvement and implementation of regional and global Infrastructure & Operations standards, using incident trends, service performance, user feedback, and operational risk insights to improve reliability and service quality.

Project & Change Management

  • Lead the Hong Kong delivery of local, regional, and global technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with business requirements and agreed timelines.
  • Coordinate deployment activities across business stakeholders, ITD teams, and vendors, including local application integration and deployment readiness.
  • Lead business UAT and drive timely resolution of issues with relevant application teams and vendors.
  • Support stakeholder engagement, change management, and business readiness to ensure successful deployment and adoption.

Governance, Risk & Financial Management

  • Ensure adherence to Group IT governance, risk management, security, and compliance standards.
  • Coordinate security, risk, compliance and audit activities for applications and technology, including non-standard technology usage, in collaboration with relevant IT Security, Risk & Compliance teams.
  • Manage IT capital and operating expense budgets, including annual planning, tracking and forecasting, to ensure effective resource allocation and alignment with business priorities.
  • Manage local technology contracts, software licensing, renewals, and associated costs in coordination with relevant procurement, legal, and ITD teams.
  • Manage and review the performance, service quality, operational risks, and improvement commitments of local technology suppliers and service providers using agreed metrics and escalation paths.
  • Maintain oversight of the lifecycle, inventory, compliance, security, usage, and disposal of Hong Kong technology assets, working with relevant regional and global teams to ensure accurate records and effective total-cost-of-ownership management.
  • Drive transparency of Hong Kong IT costs and service consumption, supporting informed investment decisions and alignment with standard IT services.

Required Work Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Information Technology, including experience in business-facing roles such as IT Business Partner, IT Manager, or similar.
  • Strong experience in business partnering and stakeholder management, with the ability to translate business priorities into technology requirements and solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and enabling digital, automation, AI, or technology solutions that improve business productivity, processes, and outcomes.
  • Broad understanding of enterprise applications, IT service management, infrastructure, project delivery, and technology governance.
  • Experience working within multinational and matrix organizations, collaborating effectively with senior business stakeholders and local, regional, and global technology teams.

  • University degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
