Job DescriptionTake the lead in driving excellence in Learning & Development. As the Learning and Development Manager at ADF Careers you will lead a dynamic, high performing team to design, implement and evaluate impactful programs that enhance organisational capability. You will:
- Lead a team of high performing Learning and Development (L&D) professionals, across L&D, Training, Instructional Design and Capability.
- Develop, implement and deliver ADF Careers Learning and Development strategy, encompassing an approach that meets the contractual requirements of Adecco within the ADF Careers contract, and ensures a forward-looking, innovative whole of ADF Careers L&D approach, supporting overall achievement and success at an organisational level.
- Set performance objectives, support and develop the team to deliver on annual training plans that are aligned with business strategy and have clear learning objectives and measures.
- Provide advice and support in all areas of L&D including partnering with senior leadership to uplift leadership capability, advising on and supporting talent management to identify emerging leaders.
- Develop and implement framework for consistent onboarding and induction programs for both ADF Careers employees, posted ADF personnel and all Adecco subcontractors working on the ADF Careers contract.
- Establish ongoing data collection to measure the impact, effectiveness, and return on investment of L&D initiatives, and create insights that inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop an annual training calendar, partnering with the HR and L&D leads, the wider ADF Careers business and relevant ADF Careers stakeholders to conduct ongoing training needs analysis.
- Source and collaborate with external learning partners to deliver exceptional, best practice learning solutions/outcomes.
- Develop, manage and maintain a high service level client relationship through the provision of services that meet or exceed the expectations of Defence and the ADF Careers Adecco contract, further encouraging a strong and ongoing relationship between Adecco and the Commonwealth of Australia.

- A strong commitment to maintaining current knowledge of learning and development best practices, emerging technologies and industry innovations, applying these to continuously evolve learning solutions.
- Experience leading high-performing, engaged and well-supported teams, fostering an environment that develops individual capability, enhances performance and supports career growth.
- A track record of developing leadership capability and succession pipelines, ensuring a strong and sustainable talent pool for critical and future leadership roles.
