As the SVP External Communications, you will work with the Heads of Communications for the global businesses and Chief Communications Officer to shape and execute the external communication strategy shape and build the perception of the Group and its brands to. In this exciting role, you will lead corporate communications, media relations, crisis and issues management and , in addition to financial communications. Your strategic mindset, exceptional world-class communication skills and impeccable execution abilities will be crucial in engaging key stakeholders in our story and building our global reputation.

What you’ll be doing
  • Build and execute highly innovative, creative and impactful corporate communications programs to position the Group as the leader in the human side of the AI transformation.
  • Develop and drive a proactive media relations program to engage relevant journalists in telling the Group story
  • Manage the Group’s media relationships; Establish and foster close ongoing relationships with a broad network of journalists at top tier outlets who have an interest in areas relevant to the Group’s field of work, with the goal to secure regular and positive media coverage and position the Group, its GBUs and our representatives as experts in our field.
  • Activate the ‘Newsroom’ approach in the Communications function, moving quickly to capitalize on evolving media headlines to help shape the debate on relevant topics.
  • Leverage storytelling to showcase the work of the Group and its GBUs and bring to life the stories of the 3.5 million individuals whose careers we help enable.
  • In close collaboration with the Investment Relations department, actively manage the media cycle around financial communications events including quarterly results; lead the development of the Group’s annual report.
  • Lead the global establishment of world class systems and processes around media tracking, daily news service, reporter CRM and media analysis including optimizing for LLMs.
  • Manage fast-moving and unanticipated communications challenges as a trusted business-communication consultant; lead and maintain our Group-wide crisis and issues communications framework/guidance, aligned with our Group-wide SOP on crisis and issues management.
  • Serve as a key interface to the Group’s external communications agency, ensuring the agency is regularly briefed, directed, and that their services deliver maximum value to the Company.
  • Provide leadership to our global community of communications professionals supporting the delivery of strategic and innovative external communications to enable the success of the corporate functions and their respective strategies
  • Manage a small team, providing guidance and leadership to ensure the team has maximum impact and their own development goals are met.
About you

Experience

  • University degree in Communication, Journalism, Politics, PR or similar
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in communications roles and experience in a leadership role within an international corporate environment
  • Demonstrated track-record creating and delivering PR and external communication strategies within a complex and international business environment
  • Deep media relations experience with demonstrated track record working with journalists to secure relevant and positive top tier coverage, strong network of media relationships
  • Experience working with the C-Suite
  • English fluency
  • German language capabilities.
