About the role

The Sr Director Financial Planning & Analysis is a strategic role that provides analysis of financial metrics to the Pontoon SLT (Senior Leadership Team), as well ensures the transmission of Pontoon Monthly financial results in partnership with Adecco Group and Global Business Unit FP&A. This role requires a highly detailoriented individual that can view the business at a high-level as well as at a very detailed level.

What you’ll be doing
  • Manages the organization and analysis of financial data for Pontoon, providing insights to guide financial decision making.
  • Develops reporting tools utilizing GRP (Global Reporting Platform) and ART (Adecco Reporting Tool) to gather and report data insights for Pontoon and Adecco leadership.
  • Maintains Pontoon’s financial database to ensure accurate client and product level reporting and enable this data to be accessible.
  • Oversees Pontoon’s GRP transmission of financial results (where applicable) monthly.
  • Identifies opportunities for cost savings, revenue growth and streamlining for Pontoon.
  • Leads the implementation of best practice approaches to report production and information management, ensuring accurate data is made accessible and presented in a meaningful way.
  • Delivers data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Maintains and enhances existing financial models, financial data processes, and dashboard reporting.
  • Consolidates, analyzes, and validates complex structured and unstructured data sets from a variety of sources.
  • Develops and implements self-service capabilities for Finance.
  • Responds to ad hoc requests for data and management information.
  • Ensures integrity, availability, and relevance of data.
  • Develops insights using defined best practice, ensuring valuable contribution to financial decision making.
  • Provides recommendations for improvements utilizing data insights that contribute to cost reductions, revenue generation, and streamlining operations.
  • Responds promptly to the business’ needs for data analysis to enable well informed approaches to financial performance of a function.
  • Maintains deep knowledge of Pontoon’s current and future priorities.
  • Maintains industry knowledge to ensure exceptional level of support to the business.
  • Provides coaching and mentoring to less experienced team members.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. 
About you

EDUCATION & JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
  • Seven plus (7+) years of financial analysis experience.
  • Six Sigma certification: Lean Certification and/or Green Belt preferred, but not required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting assigned deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively influence others at various levels within the organization.
  • Ability to gather, interpret, report, and use data and other information in conducting responsibilities effectively and accurately.
  • Highly accurate and detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to change.
  • Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of processes, develop improvements and/or recommend changes or alternatives.
  • Ability to identify existing and new trends as well as evaluate and predict their impact on the organization.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to understand and apply General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial analysis principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures, as well as the ability to prepare and monitor budget information.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to utilize automated financial systems and tools, such as Hyperion and Oracle Financials.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.

The anticipated salary range for this position is between $145,000-$155,000. Salary may be determined based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. This position participates in Pontoon’s incentive program which also includes bonus eligibility.
Benefit offerings for full-time employment include medical, dental, vision, term life and AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits, wellness plans, and a 401k plan or a non-qualified deferred compensation plan. Available paid leave includes Personal Time Off (PTO) on an accrual basis up to 152 hours a year, 10 Paid Holidays, 1 Community Service Day, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave. PTO and holiday hours are prorated based on hire date within the calendar year.
