The Adecco Group in Bulgaria is powered by the brands of Adecco and Modis. Now we expand our operations in Bulgaria with a newly established Operations Center in Sofia and currently we are looking for energetic and self-driven person for the position of Senior Corporate Accountant.
About the role: You will join the Corporate Accounting team responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of the listed company, Adecco Group AG, and other smaller corporate entities within the group, such as cash pool, holding and financing entities. The team is based in Zurich, Switzerland and Sofia, Bulgaria, and works closely together on a daily basis.
In this role, you will be primarily responsible for various general ledger accounting tasks and month-end closing activities. As part of a flexible team, you will have the opportunity to expand your responsibilities over time and develop your skills.
Responsibilities:
- Monthly closing activities (journal entry preparation, reconciliation schedules, trial balance review)
- Preparation of monthly group reporting package, tax package and other group deliverables
- Preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with Swiss GAAP
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate reporting (e.g., Tax, Treasury, Legal, IT finance, etc.)
- Support the preparation of external group reporting (annual report and half year report)
- Show initiative and an open mindset to identify opportunities for continuous process improvement
- Responsible for other head office accounting tasks and participate in finance projects as required
Main requirements:
- At least 4 years of experience in an accounting role
- Proficiency in MS365, especially Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Peoplesoft, HFM and/or other ERP and consolidation solutions is a plus
- Previous experience in SharePoint, PowerBI, Power Automate, Oracle Database and other similar tools is a plus
- Business fluent in English, another European language is an advantage
- A team player with the ability to work independently
- Well organized and ability manage priorities under pressure
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail and critical thinking
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
