Global Contracts Manager

The Global Contracts Manager is accountable for the end‑to‑end coordination, governance, and execution of Pontoon’s global contracting framework. Sitting within the Global Control Tower, with alignment to the Adecco Legal function this role owns the creation, standardization, coordination of negotiation, and ongoing management of Pontoon’s contractual artefacts across all regions and client segments.
The role partners closely with Sales, Solution Architects, Implementation teams, and Global Legal to ensure contracts are commercially fit‑for‑purpose, legally compliant, scalable, and aligned to Pontoon’s global operating and risk models.
This role plays a critical part in enabling faster deal velocity, reducing contract risk, and supporting Pontoon’s shift toward more complex, global, and increasingly agentic MSP and services‑led solutions.
What you’ll be doing- Global Contract Governance & Coordination.
- Act as Pontoon’s central point of accountability for global contract coordination, ensuring consistency, control, and adherence to approved legal and commercial standards.
- Own and maintain a centralized contract tracker for all in-flight contracting activity across regions, with clear status visibility for Pontoon Legal, Sales, and Implementation stakeholders.
- Monitor and enforce turnaround timelines for all contracts under review by regional legal counsel, escalating delays proactively to legal leadership and Pontoon management.
- Operate as part of the Global Control Tower, providing oversight across regions, contract types, and client engagements.
- Serve as the primary operational liaison to designated legal counsel, ensuring matters are assigned, acknowledged, and progressing within agreed service levels.
- Ensure contracting approaches align to Pontoon’s global operating model, compliance framework, and risk appetite.
Contract Template Ownership & Development
Lead the creation, maintenance, and evolution of Pontoon’s global contract template suite including:
- Inputting into Master Services Agreements (MSAs)
- Creation and inputting into Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Implementation SOWs
- Local Country Agreements (LCAs)
- Third‑party and partner agreements
- Non‑Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
Commercial Contracting & Negotiation
Coordinate and support the commercial contracting process, including administrative management and collaboration with internal stakeholders on contractual discussions with clients and partners, particularly for:
- Global and multi‑country MSP programmes.
- Complex SOW‑based or services‑led engagements.
- Non‑standard commercial or risk positions.
- Provide clear guidance to Sales and Solution Architects on acceptable positions, fallback language, and escalation points.
- Balance commercial agility with disciplined risk management.
Legal Partnership & Risk Management
- Work in close collaboration with Global and Regional Legal teams, acting as the operational bridge between legal, commercial, and delivery stakeholders.
- Maintain and manage the database of designated Pontoon legal contacts across all jurisdictions.
- Ensure contracts progress through required legal review and approval processes while remaining practical and deliverable from a commercial and operational standpoint.
- Support legal escalation, approvals, and governance processes.
- Identify and mitigate contractual, regulatory, and delivery risks across global engagements.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation for newly designated attorneys, including scheduling participation in MSP contracting fundamentals training.
- Serve as the first point of escalation when designated counsel are unresponsive or matters are not progressing within expected timelines.
Process, Controls & Continuous Improvement
- Embed contracting best practice within Pontoon’s global processes.
- Drive efficiency, automation, and scalability in contracting workflows where appropriate.
- Support knowledge sharing and capability uplift across regions.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience in global commercial contracting, ideally within MSP, professional services, consulting, or complex outsourcing environments.
- Strong understanding of: MSAs, SOWs, LCAs, NDAs, and third‑party agreements. Global programme structures and multi‑country delivery models.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex commercial and contractual terms with senior client stakeholders.
- Experience working alongside legal teams and translating legal complexity into practical, commercial execution.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across sales, legal, and delivery communities.
- Bachelor's degree (equivalent higher education qualification) required.
Preferred
- Experience within MSP, workforce solutions, or adjacent services‑led industries.
- Exposure to global regulatory environments and regional contracting variations.
- Experience operating within a global governance framework.
- Law degree preferred but not required.
- Commercial or legal qualification (or equivalent experience) desirable but not essential.
