This new approach will, for the first time, see the Royal Navy, the British Army, and the Royal Air Force have a joint Armed Forces Recruitment Service (AFRS). Delivered through a partnership of the MOD, Serco, Adecco and a consortium of partners, this service will provide end-to-end support from candidate attraction to assessment, onboarding, and Phase 1 training.

What you’ll be doing

The role of the Internal Recruiter (Operations and Onboarding) is to lead on Recruitment Operations, Pre-Employment and Onboarding activity.

Reporting into the Recruitment Delivery Director, you will be part of key team of three delivering a timely in-house recruitment service to operational teams.

As one of our Internal Recruiters you will represent Adecco as an employer of choice, onboarding the best talent while ensuring best practices are maintained for our internal recruitment and selection processes.

You will work with the business to ensure that we have an inclusion approach to the selection and onboarding of our new hires.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain close relationships with operational teams to understand new starter requirements.

  • Own and maintain the Recruitment tracker and other activity reporting.

  • Own and manage the Internal Recruitment mailbox.

  • Own and input to the design and enhancements of our onboarding process (offer letters, ID verification, pre-employment vetting, contracts, compliance, induction & week‑one experience).

  • Key relationship holder for candidate onboarding and induction (including right to work checks), providing updates and guidance to ensure a seamless personal experience.

  • Key relationship holder with our pre-employment vetting supplier(s).

  • Key relationship holder with internal HR teams (offer, contract, organisation management).

  • Key relationship holder with internal IT and IT supplier teams (new starter profile creation and order of IT kit and access management set up for month-one).

  • Key relationship holder with the internal L&D team (induction training and programme management).

  • Update new starter reporting and related communication.

  • Advertise roles on our ATS and other channels during busy periods.

  • Schedule assessments (in-person interviews and when needed selection events) during busy periods.

  • Assist the business to identify opportunities for onboarding and other hiring process improvements.

  • Work with the business / engage Hiring Managers to follow process.

  • Contribute to reports on hiring (to inform future hiring decisions and resourcing strategy).
About you

Essential Skills / Experience

  • HR or Recruitment Operations experience (preferably with candidate Onboarding).

  • Confident managing Recruitment reporting (trackers), Mailboxes, and sensitive candidate documentation.

  • Excellent organisational skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to review, interpret and present data for actionable delivery.

Preferred Experience

  • Candidates with current / recent experience within a regulated industry (e.g. Financial Services, Government or Security).

  • Candidates with current / recent experience of inducting candidates for Recruitment (HR) and / or HR contact centre roles.
