We are looking for a Senior Business Controller with strong project controlling expertise to become a strategic partner to our leadership teams. Your impact

As a Senior Business Controller, you act as a strategic finance partner to the Head of Finance and operational leaders. You provide forward-looking insights that help steer financial performance, optimize project results and support data-driven decision making.

In this role you will:

  • Act as a strategic business partner to department heads and project leaders, translating financial data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting for your business areas, integrating actual results, trends and future developments into reliable financial plans.

  • Monitor business performance through variance analysis, identifying risks, opportunities and improvement actions.

  • Own project controlling activities, including project budget setup, cost control, revenue recognition and margin monitoring.

  • Partner with project managers and delivery teams to ensure strong project profitability and financial transparency.

  • Perform profitability analysis and scenario modeling to support project performance and strategic decision making.

  • Deliver clear and insightful reporting, including monthly and quarterly reports, KPI dashboards and ad-hoc analyses.

  • Present financial insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders in a clear and business-oriented way.

  • Support accurate monthly and quarterly closings in close collaboration with the finance team.

  • Ensure compliance with project accounting principles, including WIP management, T&M vs. fixed price models and cost allocation.

  • Contribute to ERP improvements and financial digitalization, enabling efficient and high-quality reporting.

  • Drive continuous improvement of controlling processes, tools and methodologies while ensuring strong financial governance and internal controls.

What you bring:
  • A degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in Finance & Controlling, ideally in consulting, IT services or project-based environments.

  • Strong project controlling experience, including project budgeting, forecasting, project P&L and performance monitoring.

  • Solid understanding of project accounting (WIP, cost accounting, fixed price vs. T&M models, contract deliverables and cost allocation).

  • Ability to translate financial data into clear, business-oriented insights for stakeholders at all levels.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with PowerBI, Synergies or similar tools is a plus.

  • Good understanding of finance processes, controlling methods and reporting best practices.

  • Solid foundation in accounting principles.

  • Strong communication skills in English and French.
