The Candidate Experience and Innovation team has been given the mandate to define new, distinctive user-experience based on AI innovation.
As a Lead AI Engineer, you will be responsible for building new AI capabilities using the latest technologies, such as AI Agents and Generative AI, to enhance Talent experiences. Initially, these experiences will focus on candidates, aiming to reimagine their interaction with the Group and recruiters throughout the hiring process.
We are developing new ways to interact, leveraging conversational UX, particularly agentic voice-based interactions. These innovative solutions will rely on AI-driven backend components and be grounded in Adecco Group’s extensive job market data. They will also be designed in compliance with our Responsible AI policies, reflecting our core values.
The technical stack, particularly the AI components, will consist of both internal assets and capabilities from strategic partners. Scalable designs and architectures will enable the deployment of Candidate Experiences across the 40+ markets served by the Adecco Group.
Over time, these AI-powered experiences may be extended to other audiences, including associates, recruiters, customers, and internal users.
What you’ll be doing- Overseeing the delivery of a team of internal and/or external AI engineers and data scientists.
- Contributing to the AI Agents roadmap in collaboration with our strategic partners - Salesforce and Microsoft.
- Experimenting with new AI Agents concepts, algorithms and frameworks and supporting the industrialization of AI Agents.
- Driving the execution of the roadmap to create business value by connecting innovative AI capabilities with real-world use cases and user experiences.
- Leading the implementation of Responsible AI, ensuring ethical AI and compliance with regulatory and corporate AI governance policies.
- Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Program Managers, Tech Leads, and UX Designers to build high-quality products.
- Partnering with Architects, Security, Legal, and Responsible AI stakeholders to ensure the scalability, security, and compliance of AI solutions.
- Master’s degree in applied mathematics, Software Engineering, AI, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, and AI engineering, with a proven track record in building scalable AI solutions.
- Strong understanding of how generative models (e.g., Transformers, Diffusion Models, VAEs) are built, trained, and fine-tuned. Knowledge of pretraining, reinforcement learning with human feedback (RLHF), and model adaptation techniques.
- Deep understanding of how to embed generative AI models (e.g., LLMs, Diffusion Models) into real-world applications, addressing challenges like latency, API orchestration, prompt engineering, and inference optimization.
- Experience in designing and optimizing data architectures for AI, including structured and unstructured data management, knowledge graphs, and long-term memory mechanisms. Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, and efficient data retrieval techniques to enhance agent reasoning and contextual awareness.
- Ability to bridge the gap between stateless traditional software development and dynamic, probabilistic AI-driven workflows, ensuring reliability, controllability, and scalability.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java and agentic framework such as LangChain.
- Passion for innovation, exploring emerging AI technologies. Experience with AI Agents, conversational AI, particularly voice-based AI interactions is a plus.
- Product-oriented mindset, leveraging AI to create seamless and innovative user experiences.
- Strong understanding of Responsible AI, including ethical AI principles, bias mitigation, and compliance considerations.
- Ability to work iteratively and adaptively, delivering value incrementally in an Agile environment.
- Proficient level of English.
