Temporary Senior Accountant

At Akkodis, we’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team on a temporary basis and support us during a high-impact period. What you’ll be doing:As a Senior Accountant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting the business with critical insights and ensure smooth day-to-day operations and timely closings.
Purchasing & Cost Accounting
Post purchase invoices and employee expense reports
Ensure proper approval flow and legal compliance of all documents
Maintain supplier relationships and follow up on incidents
Keep purchasing procedures aligned and well-documented
Treasury & Cash Management
Invoicing & Customer Follow-up
Review the Aging Report and follow up using SAP data
Send out weekly payment reminders based on our invoicing procedure
Report anomalies and escalate incidents to finance and relevant stakeholders
Monthly & Year-End Closings
Post group entries and perform monthly reconciliations
Book fixed assets and monthly depreciation
Prepare provisions and maintain the closing checklist
Collaborate with EY during audit periods
Declarations & Compliance
Prepare and submit VAT declarations and the annual income tax return
Ensure compliance with all local legislation (statistical surveys, VAT listings, etc.)
Annual Accounts
Prepare the balance sheet and income statement
Finalize closing elements: depreciation tables, provisions, justifications
Participate in meetings with auditors and provide supporting documentation
Support & Administration
What you bring:Solid experience in accounting (min. 5 years in a similar role)
Strong understanding of Belgian GAAP and tax legislation
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); SAP knowledge is a plus
Fluent in Dutch and English (French is a plus)
Autonomous, rigorous, and reliable
Strong client orientation and collaborative mindset
Proactive attitude and a drive to improve and streamline processes
