Design Engineer (Multiple Positions)

Perform kinematic and dynamic analysis of systems to solve design problems. Apply engineering and design experience to perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis. Analyze and optimize part design for fatigue life considerations. Perform fluid flow and heat transfer analysis of parts and systems. Perform analysis of systems required to ensure compliance with codes and standards. Construct shear and bending moment diagrams of parts and systems. Review and analyze specifications and reference information to assess factors affecting designs. Apply laws of physics and principles of simple machines to design problems. Calculate stresses and deflections in parts or systems and optimizes designs. Create Free Body Diagrams and analyze static equilibrium problems for complex systems. Utilize engineering resources (handbooks, catalogues, and internet) to select correct information and formulas to solve complex design problems. Create highly complex part and assembly models (logically ordered, easily modified, use appropriate features / constraints that reflect design intent). Reports to company headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI. Roving employee- will work at various unknown client sites throughout the U.S for up to 100% of the time. Must be willing to travel anywhere in the U.S and may be assigned to work at client sites across the U.S.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and eighteen (18) months of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Must have demonstrated experience with: Failure Mode and Effects Analysis; CAD modeling; GD&T; CREO; SAP; SolidWorks; and AutoCAD.
Salary offered for the position is: $87,589.00 - $92,589.00/year.

900 N Squirrel Rd, Suite 300, Auburn Hills, MI 48326. Reports to company headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI. Roving employee- will work at various unknown client sites throughout the U.S for up to 100% of the time. Must be willing to travel anywhere in the U.S and may be assigned to work at client sites across the U.S.
