Modis Pricing and Operations Analyst

The Pricing and Operations Analyst is responsible for all aspects of developing pricing proposals and reporting operational performance metrics in support of RFX activity, pre-contract award, using corporate processes, enterprise systems, guidelines and software tools. Ensures all proposals are comprehensive, responsive, accurate and in compliance with company objectives. Maintains and prepares a final record of relevant RFP response content and artifacts pertinent to contract negotiations.
What you’ll be doingESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and enhances all aspects of cost and pricing proposals preparation, pre-contract award, using corporate processes, systems, guidelines, and software tools.
- Conducts pricing and cost proposal development; makes pricing recommendations and collaborates with sales teams to develop pricing strategy.
- Works with the national sales team to determine required markups, profitability and risks both locally and nationally.
- Reviews and critiques terms and conditions of RFX’s to limit financial risk and exposure.
- Develops client specific pricing models in accordance with RFX requirements.
- Performs the calculation of expected profitability and return on sales for both existing and possible future corporate and partnership accounts using all relevant pricing tools and proforma models.
- Continues to develop and improve pricing tools and worksheets. Develops and maintains data stores used in pricing that include statutory costs, internal employment cost components, associate wage rates by job category, internal delivery costs, overhead and profit targets.
- Assists in implementation and training for any new or updated policies and procedures that affect pricing.
- Develops and enhances all aspects of operational data analytics associated with business performance using corporate processes, reporting systems, guidelines, and software tools.
- Conducts operational analysis and reporting associated with proposal development; makes reporting recommendations, and collaborates with sales teams to develop reporting strategy.
- Works with the national sales team to determine required RFX reporting requirements, in compliance with client demands.
- Develops client specific operational analytics models in accordance with RFX requirements.
- Continues to develop and improve operational performance tools and worksheets. Develops and maintains data stores used pertaining to national, regional, state, local, and delivery center operational metrics, including job order activity and headcount volumes, by industry, client, job category, and skill set. Prepares human resource reporting focused on colleague and associate assignment tenure and turnover.
- Researches and reports global and national company financial performance data pertaining to clients and industries.
- Assists in implementation and training for any new or updated policies and procedures that affect operational performance metrics.
- Validates, and identifies inconsistencies or compliance with, the final record negotiated to actual results and deliverables.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, quantitative analysis, financial mathematics, business administration, or finance plus a minimum of two (2) years of pricing and/or operational analysis experience required. Prior experience with staffing agencies, management consulting firms, or professional services providers highly preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
- Skilled in communicating effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Experience building financial and/or operational models using advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
- Knowledge of and the ability to apply concepts, principles, and practices of accounting and financial systems.
- Ability to gather, assemble, consolidate and analyze facts, draw conclusions and devise solutions.
- Ability to evaluate information, identify key issues and formulate conclusions based on sound, practical judgment, experience and common sense.
- Highly adept at developing complex mathematical formulas and algorithms.
- Familiarity with relational database concepts.
- Strongly developed cognitive reasoning skills.
- Ability to proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team oriented environment.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
