Business Development Manager Netherlands - LHH Leadership Development & Career Transition and Mobility
Amsterdam, Netherlands Apply for RoleWe are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team in The Netherlands. In this role, you will focus on identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities. As a "hunter," your primary responsibility will be to generate new leads, establish initial relationships, and drive revenue growth. You will play a critical role in expanding our customer base and building the foundation for long-term business success.
Reporting Relationships:
- Reports directly to theSales Director, receiving guidance and support on strategy and performance.
- Collaborates closely with theMarketing Teamto align on lead generation and campaign initiatives.
- Partners with theCustomer Success Teamto ensure a seamless handover of new clients and support retention efforts.

- No direct reports
Location:
- Based in the Amsterdam or Eindhoven region, with easy access to key client hubs.
- Flexibility for remote work, enabling a hybrid working model that balances productivity and collaboration.
Travel:
- Regular travel within the assigned territory for client meetings, networking events, and business development activities.
- Weekly visits to the company headquarters or other regional offices as needed for training and team collaboration.
Languages:
- Fluency in Dutch (NL) and English (ENG) is mandatory, both written and spoken.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse client base and internal teams in both languages.
- Proficiency in tailoring presentations, proposals, and conversations to suit cultural and linguistic nuances.
In this role you can expect to
Lead Generation & Prospecting:
- Identify and target potential customers through market research, networking, and outbound strategies.
- Develop and execute effective cold-calling, emailing, and social media outreach campaigns.
Business Development:
- Proactively pursue new business opportunities in line with company goals.
- Build a robust pipeline of qualified leads and manage opportunities through the sales funnel.
Client Engagement:
- Initiate and nurture relationships with prospective clients, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions.
- Deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and pitches to key decision-makers.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and refine sales strategies and offerings.
- Meet or exceed assigned revenue and sales targets.
Market Insights:
- Conduct thorough market analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
- Provide insights and feedback to internal teams to improve product and service offerings.
Reporting & Forecasting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of activities and performance metrics in the CRM system.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and pipeline progress.
All About You
- Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or similar role with a focus on new business acquisition.
- Strong ability to generate and qualify leads, with a demonstrated track record of closing deals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a proactive approach to finding opportunities.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales pipeline management.
- Analytical and strategic mindset, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable sales strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is an advantage.
