Jacksonville, United States Apply for RoleThe IT Project Manager II is responsible for the quality implementation of projects on time, on scope and on budget, according to agreed project standards and industry best practices. Defines, structures, plans, manages and reports on assigned projects. Typically works independently with minimal guidance.
What you’ll be doing- Plans, executes and controls projects to ensure the timely delivery of quality code on budget, on scope, and according to agreed project standards and best practices.
- Ensures technical solutions support business case requirements.
- Leads and manages projects – internal and/or external resources – to meet project objectives and achieve deliverables.
- Manages projects by stage as defined the Project Management Office (PMO) processes and standards.
- Manages all risks and issues associated with projects and escalates as necessary to ensure project delivery.
- Manages all changes in scope of the project per PMO processes and escalates to the project steering board when required changes impact agreed delivery time and budget.
- Identifies and recommends vendors for the development and maintenance of assigned solutions areas.
- Validates vendor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are clearly defined in contracts before handing off to Procurement; manages vendors to ensure performance standards meet contractual agreements.
- Ensures the measurement of benefit KPIs is part of project closure and hands-over reporting responsibility and schedule to Portfolio Management.
- Implements quality improvement guidelines/plans relating to project management processes.
- Guarantees all work is compliant with internal and external audit requirements.
- Maintains authority to spend agreed project budgets on the creation of agreed work packages.
- Maintains delegated management authority over extended project teams.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; provides training and guidance as required.
- Prepares and presents executive project summary presentations for leadership.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
- Become an expert in our project management tools so they can assist junior project managers as necessary
Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, computer science or a related field with three (3) years of related information technology project management experience preferred. Minimum of seven (7) years of equivalent combination of post high school education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. PM certification is a plus.

- Ability to evaluate information, identify key issues and formulate conclusions based on sound, practical judgment, experience and common sense.
- Identify, develop, improve and/or streamline processes to meet established goals and objectives.
- Deliver to and successfully manage stakeholder expectations while working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, budgets and resources.
- Demonstrate expertise in delivering to a strategic agenda.
- Successfully and simultaneously manages multiple projects that vary in nature and scope.
- Knowledge of training methodologies and the ability to develop and deliver technical/operational training to various levels of employees.
- Knowledge of and ability to understand and apply best practices in information technology project and change management.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Experience in other productivity tools like Smart Sheets, SharePoint, resource management tools, etc.
