Marketing and Communications Lead
Zurique, Suíça
Berlim, Alemanha
Londres, Reino Unido
As Marketing and Communications Lead, you will drive how and where the Innovation Foundation shows up to in order to engage our core audiences: organisations in philanthropy and practitioners in social innovation. The aim is to raise awareness of our unique model of philanthropy among our peers, to excite them about adopting our ways of working and/or to engage them directly with our projects. This requires a “push and pull” approach. Push is tailored, audience-specific outbound information to inform, excite and engage. Pull entails mining our community for information and insights that will keep our finger on the pulse of what matters to our stakeholders. At present, this is a one-person team which requires the ability to both drive strategy and ensure execution, working in a matrix with the rest of the Foundation plus external providers.
In this role, you will report directly to the Managing Director, with a high level of autonomy, decision-making and freedom. You will act as “air traffic control” to set the strategy and them mobilise an array of internal and external resources (agencies, freelancers, partners, etc.) for implementation. Thus, you are adept at building relationships and influencing others while working in a matrix.
Please be informed the role is opened to colleagues based in Switzerland, UK or Germany

- Own and drive the Foundation’s narrative and voice, maintain the brand integrity
- Act as air traffic control to orchestrate delivery through a mix of internal and external resources (agencies, freelancers, partners, etc.)
- Use data and analytics to drive strategic decision-making
- Be bold, take risks, move fast and learn constantly
- 7+ years leading communications and/or marketing in an international setting, preferable with a social impact focus
- Track record of transforming marketing and communications functions to align with organisational strategy and change
- Demonstrated ability to craft and execute an integrated, digital-first, multi-channel strategy to drive stakeholder engagement
- Expertise in vetting and using cutting edge marketing and communications technology, including genAI-enabled tools and platforms
- Practical experience with human-centred design, start-ups, and innovation
- Growth mindset and a high degree of comfort with ambiguity
- Experience mobilising hybrid teams, running agencies and orchestrating an array of service providers. Ability to delegate and work effectively in a matrix
- Proven track-record of increasing audience, reach and engagement, with expertise in measurement and use of data to drive decision-making
- Strong storytelling skills across various media (particularly video)
- Native-level English fluency; proficiency in at least one additional European language (preferably Spanish, French or German)
- Passion for social impact and at least exposure to the social sector
