In this role, you'll be speaking every day to corporate leaders who rely on GA to help them apply these solutions to their workforce of the future. 

Role Description:

We are seeking a motivated, creative, and driven Partnerships Specialist to cultivate hiring opportunities for our graduates and provide tailored candidate recommendations to our employer partners. As part of the Outcomes Team, you will need to seek out employer partnerships that deliver value for both GA and the partner, both in the near and long term.

In this role, you will also engage with companies to understand their workforce development needs, including opportunities for upskilling and reskilling. Your ability to identify and align these needs with GA’s talent and training solutions will be critical to your success. 

The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of experience in strategic partnerships or business development within the tech industry, along with a strong ability to represent GA at its best in the community.

 

Responsibilities:

Partnerships and Business Development: Cultivate and manage hiring partner relationships to educate employers on the value of GA talent, advocate for our diverse talent pool, and nurture these partnerships long-term. 

Outbound partnerships: Using both free and premium tools, build target lists of companies that align with General Assembly’s mission and needs. Engage key community members and businesses to function as participants in Outcomes Programming (guest speakers, company spotlights). Vet new companies through phone calls and virtual meetings, escalating potential global partnership leads and handing them off to appropriate teams as needed. 

Keep our partners engaged: Maintain relationships with existing hiring partners by providing them with candidate recommendations, coordinating private hiring events, and/or providing them with opportunities to function as participants in Classes/Workshops/Events and Outcomes Programming.

Understanding partners’ workforce needs: Gain a deep understanding of their hiring and workforce development needs. Provide ongoing support and strategic guidance to ensure long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.

Events and Creativity: Identify key virtual events in the community, at times attending on behalf of GA. Create and host valuable, related content to drive more employers to campus/GA’s global talent pool to drive student hiring.

Metrics and Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyzing Partnerships/Outcomes data to make thoughtful decisions around key placement drivers, areas of opportunity, etc. Maintain key reports for progress and dashboards. Utilize Salesforce to track all leads and document feedback to provide to Salesforce team to ensure the tool works for the team.

Define and Drive for Results: Partner with Global Outcomes team to help define best practices and metrics for success. Contribute to aggressive growth goals of GA’s Outcomes partner network.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in strategic partnerships, business development, recruiting, or marketing (you have a strong network and awareness of tech industry employers).
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through (you hate letting an unanswered email sit in your inbox and are proactive when you haven’t heard back).
  • Ability to negotiate to terms that make sense for both GA and our partners (you add value to relationships and want to be the first call when our partners are hiring).
  • Passion for our mission to empower people to pursue the work they love through practical skills-based education (you’re excited to empower our amazing students with the best job opportunities available).
  • Ability to get things done in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment to drive results (you’re familiar with the tools + tricks of the trade to prevent roadblocks as you pursue results).

United States of America (states of operation may vary), Canada (provinces of operation may vary), United Kingdom, Australia, and Singapore.
