Team Lead - Supply Chain Management
Apply for RoleThe Supply Chain Management Team Leader is accountable for ensuring that all supply chain activities, including and not limited to those conducted by Supplier Operations, are aligned to both regional and global supply chain strategies. Primary responsibilities include staying abreast of industry’s best practices and regulatory requirements, as well as guiding Supply Chain representatives in executing country, regional, and global initiatives.
This role ensures that Supply Chain processes are efficient and support Pontoon's objectives, and that all materials used across teams are up-to-date, relevant, and consistent with the Global Supply Chain Strategy, while taking regional distinctions into account. Additionally, the position leads projects and initiatives related to Supply Chain priorities, assumes accountability for regional deliverables, ensures alignment with global strategies, facilitates the sharing of best practices, and maintains effective communication with regional counterparts and the entire Supplier Chain team. A crucial responsibility of this role is to maintain a direct connection, ongoing dialogue between the Supplier Operations Centre of Excellence and the Supply Chain Management function.
Ensuring the Supplier Operations Centre of Excellence adheres to Supply Chain processes, and maintains the quality of service, SLA’s & KPI’s set, by the Global Head of Supply Chain Management.
What you’ll be doing- Demonstrates leadership qualities and drives, mentors, coaches and develops junior team members.
- When Pontoon’s preferred vendor partners are aligned to new client via implementations or existing programs, ensure their successful deployment (example include and is not limited to Scout Logic).
- Maintain a proactive understanding of supplier business practices, competencies, innovation, growth potential, compliance status, and any issues of non-adherence, thereby adding transparency and strategic value to regional/global supply chain initiatives.
- Stay current with regulatory requirements, and supplier engagement methodologies to drive continuous improvements in the global and regional supply chain strategy.
- Ensure the deployment utilization of the Pontoon Supplier Intelligence Platform during new client implementations and existing expansions.
- Regularly review and refine the supplier country /regional Rules of Engagement templates to minimize risk, ensure compliance, and nurture authentic partnerships.
- Monitor and report on Pontoon’s Strategic Supplier compliance at both regional and global levels, ensuring transparent upward communication.
- Ensure successful initiation and ongoing progress of the Supply Chain Management workstream to achieve all deliverables, supporting seamless new client implementations and existing program changes—including but not limited to contractual updates, geographic expansions, and service enhancements—without adverse impact on timelines.
- Review all MSP contractual clauses worldwide (such as Main Client Contracts, Local Country Agreements, and Statements of Work) to confirm that Supply Chain Management activities are thoroughly considered and accurately documented in Supplier Agreements.
- Proactively propose enhancements to MSP contractual clauses to improve efficiency, apply lessons learned, share best practices, and strengthen stakeholder relationships involved in contract negotiations.
- Support the Supply Chain Management workstream lead in resolving all issues efficiently.
- Analyze feedback from Supplier Surveys, results from Supplier Audit Compliance and statuses of Supplier Document Compliance to identify trends, actionable opportunities for improvement and propose ways mitigate risk.
- Foster strong working relationships with key team members and stakeholders through consistent communication and regular updates.
- Demonstrate a collaborative and supportive attitude within the team environment, engaging constructively with both managers and junior team members.
- Cultivate and maintain ethical, equitable relationships with global and regional suppliers to achieve and surpass the business objectives of Pontoon and its clients.
- Support the Global Head of Supply Chain Management with including and not limited to Supplier Events, projects, initiatives and administrative tasks.
- Manage the Supply Chain Management central mailbox.
EDUCATIONANDEXPERIENCEREQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
- At least four (4) years of professional experience, including two (3) years in global MSP roles with documented progressive responsibilities. Experience in MSP, services procurement, or contingent workforce is preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green, Yellow, Black Belt, or Master); Prince2 Certification
- Experience with contractual negotiations
