As the National Manager – Finance Business Partner based in Canberra, you will be responsible for guiding the organisation’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
You will provide expert financial insights to senior leaders, ensuring alignment between financial outcomes and organisational priorities, while driving strong governance and supporting informed, data-driven decision-making across the business.

The National Manager – Finance Business Partner is a strategic leadership role responsible for leading the organisation’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, pricing and performance analysis team. This role works closely with senior leaders and provides strategic insight and analytical leadership to inform decision-making strengthen financial governance and drive business performance. Based at our Headquarters in Canberra, this role is the first point of contact for all Finance Business Partner matters, providing expert advice to our Senior Leadership Team and supporting the Head of Finance to ensure alignment between financial outcomes and organisational priorities.
You will:
- Partner with business leaders and support the development of annual budgets, rolling forecasts and scenario modelling aligned with business plans
- Partner with Head of Functions and National Managers to interpret financial results and translate into actional insights for operational and strategic improvement
- Provide strategic financial advice to the DFR Executive Leadership team and senior stakeholder
- Identify financial levers, risks, opportunities and emerging trends to inform organisational strategy and priorities
- Liaise directly with Commonwealth representatives with regards to financial queries and requests relating to DFR
- Develop and maintain pricing models and strategies to ensure competitive positioning, profitability and compliance with Adecco DFR objectives.
- Oversee monthly management reporting, variance analysis and executive-level committee financial insights and ensure integrity and timeliness of all reporting to internal and external stakeholders
- Partner with the Finance Leadership Team to provide aligned, consistent and effective people capability services for Adecco DFR
- Continuously improve Finance Business Partnering processes and offerings to support the Adecco DFR organisation.
- Lead and develop a high performing team of Financial Analysts to deliver high-quality analysis, advice and service
- Build financial literacy and accountability across DFR functions
- Act as deputy to the Head of Finance, representing the finance function in internal and external forums as required
- Maintain industry knowledge and appropriate accreditation to ensure exceptional level of support to the business.
- Develop, manage and maintain a high service level client relationship through the provision of services that meet or exceed the expectations of Defence and the DFR Adecco contract, further encouraging a strong and ongoing relationship between Adecco and the Commonwealth of Australia.

Your background will demonstrate:
- Extensive experience leading FP&A and/or finance business partnering functions in a complex or large-scale organisations
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic financial leadership and influence senior stakeholders
- Strong people leadership and coaching capability
- Significant analytical skillset, including the utilisation of BI and reporting tools
- High-level communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Resilient and adaptable mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and everchanging environment.
- Experience with enterprise-level financial systems and performance reporting tools e.g Microsoft Dynamics 365, PowerBI
