Program Team Lead
CandidatiThe Lead Program Consultant assists the client’s end users through all phases of the requisition process to encourage a fair, competitive, and compliant staffing environment. This role develops strong partnerships with the client’s end-user community and maintains a deep understanding of their business needs. It requires expertise in workforce management, the ability to differentiate between labor categories, and the skill to provide cross-functional support across multiple delivery functions.
This client-facing role requires strong recruiting experience, the ability to provide clear and independent advisement, and the confidence to guide stakeholders through sourcing strategy decisions. The Lead Program Consultant optimizes service delivery across multiple client work locations while ensuring high quality, cost-effective outcomes. The role also includes management of assigned resources such as performance oversight and time approval, operating under minimal supervision.
Additionally, this role supports the client's program’s specific governance, documentation, and process rigor, ensuring version control, compliance, and workflow accuracy across all teams.
What you’ll be doingGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Governance & Leadership
· Provides governance, leadership, liaison, and subject-matter expertise to subordinate program teams.
· Ensures service delivery and oversight of Pontoon teams assigned to procurement categories (IT, Consulting, etc.).
· Assists or fully owns complex procurement transactions not covered by subordinate teams.
· Provides assigned resources with training, support, and leadership to ensure performance and capability development.
· Acts as the day-to-day escalation point for Procurement Specialists and reinforces a team-results–based culture.
· Supports program objectives to ensure financial goals are met or exceeded while maintaining full compliance with policies and procedures.
· Works with Business Analysts and applicable resources to provide accurate performance analyses; accountable for monthly/quarterly reporting on established MSP metrics.
· Ensures adherence to the client’s process maps, version control requirements, and documentation standards, escalating and updating team members accordingly.
· Supports Beeline workflow accuracy, intake requirements, and downstream impacts to sourcing and supplier activity, ensuring data integrity and SLA alignment.
· Facilitates or coordinates intake calls with Hiring Managers and includes Direct Sourcing teams where applicable.
· Ensures correct use and routing of updated documents (e.g., NDA templates, SOW adjustments, procurement modifications).
· Translates client requirements and workflow updates into clear guidance for internal teams and suppliers, filtering and simplifying information to ensure accuracy and adoption.
· Maintains effective collaboration with the client's ESO, Process Excellence, Direct Sourcing, Curation, and BI teams for seamless operations.
· Manages all stages of requisition activity through VMS technology, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective outcomes.
· Provides consultative support to end users to clarify job responsibilities, required skills, and sourcing expectations.
· Evaluates project requirements to recommend best-practice sourcing solutions and escalates deviations for client approval.
· Develops deep competency knowledge of the client’s business and supplier community to support sourcing decisions.
· Ensures suppliers adhere to client-specific compliance requirements, documentation quality, and submission standards.
· Acts as the central escalation point for supplier performance questions or process issues.
· Supports communication protocols with specialty suppliers validated for the program.
· Partners with internal BI teams to align requisition activity with client reporting requirements, including project/headcount accuracy.
· Ensures operational and financial metrics reflect client expectations, including cycle time, documentation integrity, and compliance accuracy.
About youEDUCATION & JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in a workforce solutions, MSP, recruitment, or procurement environment.
• At least 1-2 years in a team lead or supervisory role.
• Experience with Vendor Management Systems (e.g., Beeline, Fieldglass) required.
• Familiarity with Statement of Work (SOW) engagements is a plus.

• Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Strong customer service orientation and client relationship management.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable conclusions.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
• Experience in recruiting and talent lifecycle management is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of rate structures, employment classifications, and workforce compliance.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

The anticipated salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $95,000. Salary may be determined based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. This position participates in Pontoon’s incentive program which also includes bonus eligibility.
Benefit offerings for full-time employment include medical, dental, vision, term life and AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits, wellness plans, and a 401k plan or a non-qualified deferred compensation plan. Available paid leave includes Personal Time Off (PTO) on an accrual basis up to 152 hours a year, 10 Paid Holidays, 1 Community Service Day, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave. PTO and holiday hours are prorated based on hire date within the calendar year.
