Procurement Consultant

Pontoon is hiring a Procurement Consultant. We are looking for a dynamic self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be tasked to help optimize efforts to service clients in a high-quality, cost-effective manner for multiple locations.

• Manage sourcing of contractors in the field of IT services, for an expanded geographic territory or national level.
• Evaluate and define sourcing needs from the client (service descriptions, required expertise, daily average rate), challenge these against the client’s procurement strategy and current market conditions, send requests to client’s suppliers and analyze the received proposals.
• Negotiate daily rates with suppliers and set up transaction agreements.
• Act as an advisor towards our client by applying data and subject matter expertise, while maintaining adherence to procurement and process compliance.
• Solve queries from clients and suppliers.

• Completion of post-secondary education in related field and at least four (2) years’ experience as an IT Sourcing or Procurement specialist for T&M services, IT Buyer or similar role, ideally in a context of Managed Services Program (MSP) or Contingent Workforce.
• Experience working against SLAs and KPIs to achieve client satisfaction.
• Knowledge of IT sourcing landscape and latest market trends.
• Awareness on legal and risks related to procurement.
• Experience working with a Vendor Management System (VMS), ideally SAP Fieldglass.
• Strong negotiation skills, excellent client relationship and supplier relationship management.
• At ease working in an English-speaking environment (verbal and written). Fluency in Portuguese.
