Analyzes, develops, implements and maintains the Colleague’s Human Resources Information Systems for corporate and field locations. Ensures technology solutions are integrated into the long-term HR technology plan. Analyzes users' HR system needs and recommends system enhancements, resolves problems, prepares system documentation and provides user training. Works under general supervision.
What you’ll be doingESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consults with users to determine and analyze the technology requirements and system needs. Develops, maintains, and upgrades computer applications for HR based on needs analysis. Analyzes HR and Payroll processes, recommends solutions and implements applications.
- Works with IT on PeopleSoft HRMS application. Develops and documents business processes, assists with related technical specifications and provides project planning and HRMS configuration.
- Oversees the transfer of data from facilities and/or third-party programs to the centralized Human Resources data base. Maintains files and programs to ensure the timely and accurate updating of employee data.
- Analyzes HR Department's diverse system problems and recommends solutions. Acts as a liaison to software vendors, HR, IT and Payroll staff for system problem resolution.
- Designs, codes and creates electronic files and procedures for interface between HR, Payroll and third-party vendors and systems. Acts as system liaison between HR and multiple payroll systems and interfaces with Payroll and IS staff on technical issues as necessary.
- Develops and maintains system customization documentation. Formulates and documents procedures related to HRIS, operations, maintenance, interfaces and security.
- Develops and delivers HRIS related process documentation and system training
- Assists Director to research, evaluate and test software packages to determine the feasibility of their use and cost effectiveness of their purchase as appropriate.
- Participates in the selection, implementation, testing and training of new enhancements to existing HR systems.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, a related discipline or the equivalent required. A minimum of five years Human Resources Information Systems administration experience including one-year programming and report writing (SQL) experience generally required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior experience supporting Peoplesoft 9.2 Payroll, Time & Labor, Absence Management, and finance modules.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management and ability to keep projects on target.
- Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Strong knowledge of LAN hardware/software, applications/report formats, data base management/spreadsheets packages and general knowledge of human resources procedures/policies required.
- Effective analytical, project management and oral/written communication skills also required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
