Chief Accountant

What will be your responsibilities?

  • This position will require you to supervise and coordinate the monthly and year-end close process, including preparation of the statutory financial statements, including balance sheet and profit & loss statement, notes in accordance with Polish GAAP as well as weekly cash flow
  • Represent the Company in front of the auditors, state authorities and financial institutions (Tax Office, NBP, GUS, Ministry of Finance, etc.)
  • Supervise the work of the accounting team
  • Ensure compliance of the accounting and tax reporting with relevant legal requirements in cooperation with external advisors
  • Contribute to improvement of internal control system as well as to development of financial and accounting solutions

What do we expect?

  • Min. 3 years of professional experience on the similar position as the Chief accountant or independent accountant, preferably in large organization.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Polish Accounting Act and US GAAP will be an asset.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Computer literacy, especially MS Excel is a must.
  • Very good command of spoken and written English .
  • Good understanding of the polish tax regulations.
  • Goal-oriented with ability to perform and deliver under pressure
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
