Content Manager

About the role

The Content Manager leads a small team of Content Writers. This role works closely with the sales and industry leaders, who are part of the leadership team. The Content Manager listens to our client’s needs and pain points to develop leading industry content that clients want and find valuable. 

This content will form part of a wider content strategy to build distinction and value add from our competitors lifting our brand.  Each content piece, is linked to our growth targets, including lifting our brand presence, to be seen as an industry leader and used in campaigns, eg whitepapers, reports, leading to increased downloads and ultimately Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL’s). 

The Content Manager will create a common framework and curate content, including building a messaging house and key messages and building on our current value proposition.

What you’ll be doing
  • Content Creation:Oversees the creation of high-impact, insightful content including articles, whitepapers, reports, blog posts, and videos to showcase the company's expertise and forward-thinking approach so we stand out from the competitors.
  • Content Writer:Serves as the point of contact for all content related matters. Responsible for reviewing the team’s content, changing and adapting where required.  Creates content for our website that stand outs from the crowd and is linked to our ambition for growth.
  • Research:Works with our Insights team to explain which type of insights you need both internally and externally for content creation. Manages any external research providers to ensure reliable and high-quality output. In addition, regularly researches competitors to ensure we know what’s being produced and to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Collaboration:Works closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, sales, and subject matter experts to gather insights, develop content ideas, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • External events, webinars, and Networking:Collaborates with the Sales and Communications teams to help our Sales leaders build their relationships with industry influencers, and key stakeholders to expand the company's thought leadership footprint through speaking engagements, interviews, and other public appearances.
  • Campaign Management:Works closely with the Digital and Social Media team to design and execute marketing campaigns centered around thought leadership content, utilizing various channels and mediums to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Metrics and Analysis:Works with our Analytics team to measure and analyze the effectiveness of each campaign and how to tweak, change, and introduce new content in the future to increase the MQL for the Sales team.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
About you
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years’ experience in content writing.
  • Experience leading a team. 
  • Strong experience with content strategy, frameworks, messaging house, building key messages, and strong content that supports sales and revenue growth opportunities.
  • Experience working with Sales Leaders and Digital teams.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
