Cloud Network Service Owner

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Network Cloud Engineer. A Network Cloud Engineer is responsible for design and processes related to cloud services from networking perspective. The engineer is accountable for design and blueprint templates definition, defining processes in line with global architecture, build and test the first iteration and lead the evolution of networking part of cloud services.  Services are delivered globally. The Cloud Engineer will maintain adherence to critical processes such as Incident, Problem and Change Management and work closely with the Service Management and Service Integration functions.

What you’ll be doing
  • Act as a bridge between Network and Cloud teams which focus each on different parts of the shared infrastructure.
  • Explore and promote new ideas, strategies, technologies, and concepts, to improve service quality and reduce costs.
  • Design network security solutions in a cloud environment according to the business needs, test and document the solution, and handover to the deployment team.
  • Provide consultancy and be able to explain complex solutions to non-technical persons and contribute to team knowledgebase.
  • Analyze new service offerings and bring them into the Adecco Service Catalog.
  • Support during maintenance windows and product releases, hyper care.
  • Deliver infrastructure as code through continuous integration.
  • Act as a technical guide for operations teams during troubleshooting of high-impact outages including post-mortem root cause analysis and recommendations/implementations to ensure long-term remediation of issues.
  • Produce status reports and quality metrics.
  • Ensure an accurate business continuity plan is maintained and tested.
  • Conduct capacity and demand planning of systems to ensure the future capabilities of the system are well understood and plans to scale, and quality are defined and delivered and drive down services unit cost to agreed targets.
  • Proactively communicate with key stakeholders regarding the system availability status, scheduled maintenance windows, and product performance.
  • Collaborate on the development of documentation of practices, patterns, and processes as cloud services mature.
  • Create a phased deployment roadmap (short-term and long-term) that plans out a vision for your service. Deliver committed results relative to your roadmap.
About you
  • Minimum of five years experience in IT Infrastructure is required.
  • Strong overall IT work experience with a networking background is required.
  • Strong technical expertise in routing, switching, and network security in large enterprise networks. Serious understanding and preferably experience with FWs, load balancers, and WAF technology.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise in working with cloud technologies related to networks like Express route in Azure, NSGs, ASGs, route tables, firewalls, and VPN solutions.
  • Substantial Azure experience and ability to pass certification within 6 months, if not already certified, is a plus.
  • Automation first approach when possible using IaC and Scripting using tools such as PowerShell, Bash, ARM templates, and Terraform.
  • Experience with OO languages like Python, C++, C# as well as JS or similar scripting languages is a plus. XML and JSON Experience is a plus too.
  • University degree preferably in a technical subject or any comparable education.
  • ITIL 4 certification is a plus.
  • CCNP R&S or CISSP or similar network certification.
  • Occasional traveling up to 20%
