Senior Finance Accounting - The Adecco Group - US
The Finance Accounting Senior serves as an accounting partner to business unit FP&A teams, translating financial performance into clear insights that support business decisions. This individual contributor role focuses on building expertise in business unit accounting while ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing analytical support to stakeholders.
What you’ll be doingBusiness Unit Support & Analysis
• Support assigned business units as an accounting subject matter expert, developing knowledge of business operations, revenue models, and key performance drivers
• Partner with business unit FP&A teams to explain financial performance and help translate operational decisions into financial impact
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analysis, identifying trends and business drivers behind financial performance
• Provide financial commentary and insights to business unit teams to support decision-making
• Participate in business unit financial reviews alongside senior team members
Financial Reporting & Quality Control
• Ensure accuracy of assigned business unit financial statements through detailed analytical reviews
• Investigate discrepancies between expected and actual results, escalating complex issues to senior team members
• Support offshore R2R team in close processes, providing feedback and guidance under supervision
• Review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for assigned areas, ensuring compliance with US GAAP
• Assist in consolidation processes and preparation of reporting packages
Process Support & Development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data capture
• Support process improvement initiatives and automation projects under senior guidance
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes with historical analysis and insights
• Learn from and support offshore R2R team development activities
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on analytical capabilities
Audit & Compliance Assistance
• Support audit processes by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries under supervision
• Assist in ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Help prepare audit workpapers and support resolution of findings
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
• Minimum 4 years of accounting and/or finance experience, preferably in corporate environments
• Experience with financial statement preparation and variance analysis
• Multi-business unit or professional services experience a plus
Technical Skills
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Familiarity with EPM tools preferred
• Basic knowledge of process improvement methodologies

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $66,725 - $122,328. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, key skills, and geographic location.
Benefit offerings for full-time employment include medical, dental, vision, term life and AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits, wellness plans, and a 401k plan or a non-qualified deferred compensation plan. Available paid leave includes Personal Time Off (PTO) on an accrual basis up to 152 hours a year, 10 Paid Holidays, 1 Community Service Day, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave. PTO and holiday hours are prorated based on hire date within the calendar year.
