What does an exceptional Head of Content Marketing do?
The Content Marketing team, part of the LHH Global Marketing Center of Excellence, is responsible for developing strategies to position new and existing products and thought leadership to targeted customer segments. The content marketing team creates messaging, marketing content and sales collateral in support of the launch of new products as well as relaunching enhancements for existing products. [JS1]
The Head of Content Marketing is responsible for developing a strong content marketing program for LHH's global business units, including Learning & Development, Recruitment Solutions, and Career Transition & Mobility. Through provocative insights and expert analysis, LHH thought leadership and content shows how organizations are turning unique and innovative ideas into action, influencing leaders to think about how they can apply these insights, use them to inform their talent strategies, and build trust, helping companies create and execute talent strategies that serve as a source of value and competitive advantage.
By presenting LHH’s deep expertise in a compelling way, we build customer trust and loyalty. Working with internal subject matter experts, external clients, stakeholders in sales and marketing, the head of Content Marketing will conduct research and craft messaging that tells current clients and potential customers why LHH is a valuable partner in reaching their workforce transformation goals.
Aligned with the Product & Innovation and Sales functions through research, analysis, commentary, and insight, this role is designed to both build brand awareness and support automated marketing campaigns that optimize the customer journey and clients through the marketing funnel. From creating interest to generating leads, content should demonstrate the value of LHH’s industry-leading end-to-end talent solutions products and services.

➢ You will lead a team of 4 Product Marketing Managers, and you will work closely with LHH’s Product & Innovation Team as well with other key global stakeholders across the organization

➢ You will partner with external writers, videographers, and graphic designers
➢ You will be responsible to manage a budget for the development of content in various formatsState whether this position will have direct reports or not
Your new role
As a leader of the Content Marketing Team, you will:
➢ Lead the development of positioning and content strategies to differentiate our services in the market and communicate our value proposition
➢ Collaborate with the Innovation team, product and solution owners, subject matter experts and global colleagues from Sales and Marketing to ensure the content clearly articulates value to clients and prospects
➢ Manage creation of content, including articles, blogs, video, infographics, webinars, etc., on a wide variety of subjects, including the current world of work, talent development, job search techniques, recruiting and hiring trends
➢ Leverage agile methodologies to develop product content that delivers customer & client value
➢ Develop and communicate annual product content roadmaps that reflects product launches, refreshes and enhancements. Including but not limited to case studies, proposal templates, pitch decks, sales sheets, website content, social media posts, email templates, etc.
➢ Research competitor offerings and positioning to help shape our messaging and content
➢ Partner with our Sales Enablement Team to create content for internal rollouts and sales trainings for new products, enhancements and campaigns
➢ Use client interviews, surveys, focus groups and sales data to gain insight into buyer personas, customers’ perspectives on our products and solutions, and new opportunities in the market
➢ Participate as part of an editorial team, editing and contributing to the work of colleagues and helping the team be more effective and efficient
➢ Manage the editorial calendar and content creation projects end-to-end, including developing initial concepts, vetting ideas, crafting outlines and drafts, gathering insights from subject matter experts, editing, supervising layout by design team, executing quality control, publishing, and helping the marketing team promote and enable sellers
➢ Minimum of 10+ years in Product Marketing, Thought Leadership, or leadership roles in a similar function
➢ History in B2B marketing, ideally with a professional services firm; Product Marketing background in a SaaS marketing will be considered as well
➢ Understanding of the Career Transition and Talent/Leadership Development markets and the buyers of these services is a plus
➢ Highly creative and able to tell a great story across a variety of media and formats
➢ Innovative, curious and interested in finding ways to do things differently
➢ History in a global business environment is necessary
➢ Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Word and PowerPoint
➢ Graphic design skills including InDesign are a plus
➢ Strong project management skills and ability to manage time, priorities and stakeholders while engaged in multiple projects
➢ Marketing/ Sales technology experience; Salesforce.com, Pardot and Sitecore preferred
➢ Agility to manage sudden changes in priorities and timelines, as well as to shift between independent work and highly collaborative work
➢ Collaborate with executive-level HR professionals and subject matter experts to develop content
➢ Participate as part of a wider editorial team, editing and contributing to the work of colleagues and evolving the team process to be more effective and efficient
