Mission

  • Apply your knowledge of Hyperion to facilitate scalable deployment of planning, application security, and other interface tools
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, communication and implementation tasks
  • Assist with Hyperion Report development as needed using Hyperion Financial Reporting and Enterprise Data Warehouse
  • Liaise with Group Finance team to identify solutions to reporting requirements
  • Work closely with various levels within the company’s finance, accounting and information technology departments as well as external auditors
  • Perform system monitoring for all of the environments and month-end close support
  • Review Essbase application/server logs for troubleshooting (data, application)
  • Manage the backups for Essbase, Planning, FDMEE, and FCM and ARM
  • Ensure proper user provisioning design and transition to global IT PROD support
  • Administer user and group provisioning for all of the applications
  • Update FDMEE mappings and master data management (MDM) including dimension members and hierarchies
  • Develop test scenarios, test scripts and leads teams in unit, integration, and acceptance testing
  • Development and assistance in maintenance of automated feeds from general ledger systems using Hyperion FDQM
  • Maintains database, web, application, and batch-related servers for the Hyperion application
  • Works with internal teams on projects related to Hyperion applications
  • Supports existing interfaces with current in-house systems
  • Designs and configures new processes to improve system efficiency
  • Provides administrative support and maintenance for Hyperion applications
  • Performs administration activities including installation, configuration, monitoring, space management, and disaster avoidance preparedness
  • Manage and coordinate relationship with business (follow-up, steering committees, etc)
  • Lead or contribute to release management process
  • Produce and record all methodology-related deliverables to ensure compliance with standards and meet audits requirements
  • Ability to provide guidance on complex business requirements and issues
  • Perform testing and provide support to end-user tests

Responsibilities

  • Hyperion Smartview Reports development and support
  • Support corporate and divisional users to ensure the timely and accurate collection and consolidation of financial data in Hyperion Financial Management and Hyperion FDMEE
  • Perform data reconciliation and trouble shoot interface discrepancies and system issues
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of system documentation
  • Assist in Hyperion Development projects
  • As part of Business systems team assist in ad-hoc support on Non-Hyperion Business systems
  • Manage Hyperion environment from top to bottom
  • Analyse, manage, develop and maintain Essbase cubes
  • Write and maintain calculation scripts, shell scripts and MAXL scripts
  • Ownership of recurring month-end processes (loading actuals from The Adecco Group ERP’s into Hyperion, forecast rollover process, metadata updates, synchronization of headcount tool and Hyperion)
  • Ensure system performance and availability
  • Facilitate daily administration of Oracle HFM environment as well as ensure compliance with policies, procedures and controls
  • Responsible for automating and enhancing current data reporting and loading processes
  • Use the high-level business requirements and produce detailed functional designs
  • Facilitate the understanding of the business and functional requirements by the development teams
  • to ensure proper implementation
  • Guarantee all work is compliant with internal and external audit as well as financial legal requirements
  • (e.g. statutory, reporting, tax etc)
  • Support to business users during testing
  • Create or Modify calc scripts or business rules
  • Modify/update application security as needed
  • Work with end-users to design and maintain processes and functionality within Essbase
  • Coordinate with Teradata admins to maintain connectivity, drivers, tables, etc
  • Build, Maintain, and monitor metadata and data loads
  • Monitor and maintain Essbase application optimization settings
  • Coordinate with Teradata admins to maintain TD connectivity and drivers

Education

  • Oracle Hyperion Financial Management certification [Implementation Specialist]
  • ITIL 3 certification
  • Master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer/data science alternatively a master’s degree in business, economics or similar supplemented with computer science degrees or certifications

Experience

  • PeopleSoft Finance functional expertise and good technical expertise
  • Structured and disciplined approach in management of workload
  • Ability to manage a number of activities concurrently and to drive them to completion.
  • Ability to run internal or external workshops
  • Writing procedural documentation with strong verbal and written English skills.
  • Good interpersonal relation skills, effective communication
  • Able to build co-operative working relationships with customers, peers and key stakeholders based on respect and teamwork
  • Strong communicative team player
  • Experience with and sensitivity for different cultures
  • Ability to work with various technologies / applications depending on business area
  • Creative and analytic approach

  • Excellent knowledge of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with Hyperion as a developer or administrator
  • Be able to do data validation, work with Finance users to diagnose issues and provide solutions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HFM Rule functionality
  • Experience with ETL design and cube design
  • Experience with Smart View, Web forms and Reports
  • Experience working in global context (Core template definition or implementation, country deployment of a core model)
  • Experience working with global teams including offshore component
  • Expert in troubleshooting performance related issues
  • Proficiency in English is required, any other language is beneficial
