Colleague Payroll Manager
申し込むThe Colleague Payroll Manager is responsible for leading a team that prepares, documents, and processes all payroll transactions for employees, including but not limited to regular, incentive/commission, equity and bonus pay. Ensures compliance with company policy and all federal, state and provincial payroll employment/tax laws, rules and regulations. Additionally, the successful candidate will have strong customer service and team orientation with an ability to work in a fast-changing environment with various business units.
What you’ll be doing- Supervises employees, monitors and assigns team workload, and ensures a high-quality work product.
- Mentors, coaches, and develops employees, fosters an environment that promotes teamwork, and ensures the team is staffed appropriately to meet business needs.
- Lead and participate in the accurate and timely processing of payroll for colleagues of Canada for multiple Adecco Group brands.
- Ensures SLA’s are met, and high level of customer service is delivered. Timely field questions from colleagues on paycheck inquiries.
- Continually evaluates and streamlines payroll workflow, processes, and procedures; provides recommendations to senior management to address business needs.
- Ensures appropriate payroll controls and back-up systems are in place. Assists in internal and external audits.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely payroll reports and 100% accurate payrolls.
- Works closely with corporate payroll tax, local HRIS, Canada HRBPs and finance teams.
- Develops and ensures adherence to related policies and procedures.
- Evaluates payroll systems to define requirements and manage testing of future system enhancements; ensuring systems comply with current and future business and legal requirements.
- Responds to inquiries from and provides information to field management and employees regarding payroll and related tax procedures; ensures that payroll information is provided to internal and external auditors as requested.
- Provides information on pay-related expenses, liabilities, general ledger interfaces and bank reconciliations to business partners.
- Collaborate with the Payroll Tax Department to interpret changes in tax laws and determine their impact; lead and participate in quarterly tax update testing.
- Stays abreast of related wage and hour laws, rules and regulations, as well as with trends, best practices, and tools in payroll administration, shares knowledge with payroll team.
- Has complete understanding of Canada vacation and stat holiday pay regulations and ensures compliance.
- Ensures the accuracy and integrity of all data transferred from cross-functional teams and integrated systems into the payroll platform and collaborates promptly with relevant stakeholders to investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
- Ensures accurate and timely submission with year-end activities relating to T4 and RL-1 tax forms.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of any record of employment filings (ROE).
- Participates and/or leads special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or a related field with a minimum of seven (7) years of hands-on payroll experience, with a minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory capacity; or equivalent combination of post high school education and experience.
Payroll Compliance Partner (PCP) or Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP) designation highly preferred.

- Ability to effectively mentor, coach, train, and/or supervise employees.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting assigned deadlines.
- Ability to show initiative and sound judgment when working independently or in a team environment.
- Knowledge of and the ability to utilize automated Human Capital Management (HCM) and payroll systems. Ideal candidate will have PeopleSoft 9.2 payroll experience.
- Ability to lead system upgrades, integrations, or implementations; including the documentation of requirements, training, and testing.
- Knowledge of the principles, best practices, and standards of payroll administration, including related laws, rules, and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Expert knowledge required in Microsoft Excel with ability to do VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, etc.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Knowledge of and ability to create queries.
