About the role

SUMMARY:

Reporting to the VP of Colleague Learning, the Training Manager is responsible for increasing the company’s productivity and retention by teaching new skills and job content to new and existing employees.  May assist VP of Colleague Learning in program design and development.  Tracks performance daily for all new hires for weekly assessment.  Ultimately, helps to develop our colleagues’ skills in order to improve quality of work, productivity and retention.

What you’ll be doing

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists with New Hire training.  May lead a group of trainees for a defined period or participate in specific trainings as a subject matter expert.  Responsible for ensuring that the new hire training program is delivered consistently, and that achievement of each new hire is tracked.  Assists in design of curriculum, exercises, role plays, and other learning activities using real life data, clients and candidates.
  • Monitors performance of all new hires on a daily basis.  Provides daily feedback and coaching to all new hires to ensure that the trainees are progressing through training at the required rate.  Provides an assessment of each trainee weekly to the Director of Training and recommends retention or termination of trainees.
  • Tracks learning, skill, and KPIs for each trainee to determine when each trainee will be released to the Field, as well the appropriate Market and position into which each trainee will be placed.
  • Conducts training for field employees on best practices, new technologies, new skills, etc. to help close skill gaps.
  • Helps to identify early in career future leaders.
About you

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree required; or equivalent experience highly preferred. Minimum of two years prior training/coaching experience required.  Working knowledge of the overall business functions and sub-functions.

  • Proven ability to facilitate classroom and remote training sessions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong coaching skills, with the ability to provide fair, honest feedback.
  • Ability to establish and maintain highly effective, collaborative working relationships at all levels of the organization, including across brands and corporate functions.
  • Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills.

The Company may require proof of COVID-19 vaccination at time of hire based on client policies or certain regulatory requirements.  As such, TAG may require you to report your COVID-19 vaccination status at time of hire unless prohibited by a state law.   The Company will consider requests for exemption based on medical/disability or religious reasons, or additional reasons if permitted by state law.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $76,000 and $113,800. Salary may be determined based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. This position includes an incentive program that may include bonus and/or commission.  

Benefit offerings for full-time employment may include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits, wellness plans and reimbursement and retirement programs.  Available paid leave may include paid time off, parental leave and holiday pay.
