Senior Manager FinOps ITD Finance H/F
Villeurbanne, France Apply for RoleWe are seeking a Senior Manager FinOps ITD Finance to drive the finance and accounting operations of our central hub entity managing the Group’s IT & Digital (ITD) spend, in close collaboration with the local FinOps team in France, our FinOps SSC team, and the central ITD controlling team. This position requires a balance of strong technical financial skills, strong process orientation, and strong communication skills to drive projects to further improve our accounting & reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of owning financial accounting in a complex environment, driving financial reporting processes, project management, stakeholder engagement, people leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
This role is part of the Group ITD Finance team that is responsible for managing the ITD spending of The Adecco Group and will report to the VP Finance ITD with a dotted reporting line to the local FinOps lead in France.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with local FinOps in France and FinOps SSC to manage the financial accounting and reporting of our central ITD hub entity in France.
- Coordinate, manage and oversee the accounting and reporting operations run in FinOps SSC.
- Collaborate with other departments, ensuring a cohesive approach to financial accounting and reporting.
- Own and manage the monthly financial closing and group reporting process of our central ITD hub entity in France.
- Own and manage other group reporting deliverables throughout the financial year.
- Own and manage the annual statutory financial closing and reporting, as well as other regulatory reporting processes.
- Challenge and rethink existing frameworks, actively propose innovative strategies to finance operations excellence.
- Design, analyze and implement finance related projects/initiatives with FinOps SSC, other departments and ITD key contacts to further improve our accounting and reporting processes.
- Utilize technical skills to undertake comprehensive financial analyses and craft insightful reports to aid business decisions.
- Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to optimize operations and improve financial accounting and reporting processes, including system improvements.
- Ensure robust design of internal controls over the financial accounting and reporting processes and timely preparation/review of assigned internal controls.
1. Technical Proficiency:
- Strong practical experience with French GAAP and international GAAP (IFRS/US GAAP).
- Solid experience in French tax and statutory matters (VAT, taxable income, statutory accounts).
- Strong working experience with accounting systems (ideally MSD 365).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong experience in Accounting, Controlling & Reporting processes in large organizations.
- Experience in financial reporting process design, implementation, and transformation.
- Experience building and managing internal controls over financial reporting.
- Experience designing, analyzing, and implementing finance-related projects.
2. Soft Skills:
- Team player with strong interpersonal abilities to build relationships with international partners and leadership.
- Willingness to support coaching and training of SSC/junior accountants.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
3. Language Proficiency: Fluent in French and English for effective communication with local authorities and international stakeholders.
4. Analytical Skills:
- Analytical mindset to extract insights and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Strong financial acumen and financial statement analysis skills.
5. Leadership Skills: Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams and influencing cross-functional collaboration.
6. Communication Skills:Strong communication abilities for effective stakeholder management and presenting financial insights to senior leadership.
7. Project and Change Management:
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives with strong execution and results focus.
- Experience driving organizational and financial accounting/reporting process changes.
Profile:
- University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Additional qualifications (e.g., CPA) are a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in similar roles, ideally in large multinational organizations.
- Strong experience with French GAAP and US GAAP and/or IFRS.
- Practical experience with accounting and reporting processes in large organizations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong knowledge of accounting systems (ideally MSD 365).
